The game had a very big importance for second-rankedGiants as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Giants smashed 7th ranked Shockers in Nassau 110-62 . Giants dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Shockers ' 40. Giants forced 24 Shockers turnovers.
