Regular Season Round 9: Pinelands - Tridents 67-63

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bridgetown: Pinelands (#5) and Tridents (#8). Pinelands (3-6) won against visiting Tridents (1-9) 67-63. Pinelands forced 23 Tridents turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Tridents helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Rachad Hall (183) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Nigel Jones (201-1990, college: Talladega) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Zane Gaskin answered with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Nathaniel Scott added 14 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Tridents. Tridents' coach C. Edwards tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Pinelands maintains fifth place with 3-6 record. Tridents at the other side stay at the bottom position with nine games lost.
