Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Bridgetown:Lakers (#4) and Pinelands (#5). Pinelands were smashed at home by 24 points 94-118 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Lakers dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Pinelands ' 58 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Pinelands 51-29 including a 41-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Pinelands ' players. The winners were led by center Tyreke Harewood (, college: Orange CC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 51 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds and the former international guard Keefe Birkett (183-1988) supported him with 19 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Even 16 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals by guard Rachad Hall (183) did not help to save the game for Pinelands . Guard Khairi Thorpe added 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Lakers and five Pinelands players scored in double figures. Lakers maintains fourth position with 8-6 record. Loser Pinelands keep the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Warrens.
