There was a small surprise in Bridgetown wherePinelands smashed Warrens 90-60 on Sunday. Pinelands dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Warrens ' 32. Pinelands forced 26 Warrens turnovers and outrebounded them 51-39 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pinelands looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pinelands made 8 blocks. The former international Carl Thorpe (201-2001, college: York, NE) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. Guard Rachad Hall (183) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals. Four Pinelands players scored in double figures. Pinelands' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Karlos Greenidge produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Khamal Boyce added 9 points and 15 rebounds respectively for lost side.
