Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Bridgetown:Pinelands (#4) and Bears (#6). Pinelands (4-3) won against visiting Bears (2-5) 98-94 . Pinelands dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Bears ' 54. Pinelands forced 20 Bears turnovers. The former international Carl Thorpe (201-2001, college: York, NE) notched 41 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks to lead the effort and guard Rachad Hall (183) supported him with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Even 39 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds by Antoine Winter did not help to save the game for Bears . The former international Mark Bridgeman (198-1990) added 27 points and 12 rebounds. Bears' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Pinelands maintains fourth position with 4-3 record. Newly promoted Bears keep the sixth place with five games lost.

In a recent game, Carl Thorpe delivered an outstanding performance. He scored an impressive 41 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and dished out 4 assists against the Bears, leading his team to victory. As a result of his exceptional display on the court, Thorpe earned an Elite Badge from eurobasket.com, recognizing him as a true champion in his sport.
