The game between closely ranked teams ended withDefenders ' road loss to Western Ballaz 79-92 . Strangely Defenders outrebounded Western Ballers 52-40 including 18 on the offensive glass. Defenders were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international Glency Lopez (180-1997, college: Midland CC) notched 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and American forward Raymond Hawkins III (208-2000, college: Westcliff) supported him with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Western Ballaz players scored in double figures. Even 7 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by American Nigel Jones (201-1990, college: Talladega) did not help to save the game for Defenders . His fellow American import guard Adio Gbolahan (193, college: Ashland) added 20 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
