Defenders forced 27 Suns turnovers and outrebounded them 49-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. Defenders players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Suns ' players. Suns were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Bobby Williams (, college: Contra Costa) nailed 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Nigel Jones (201-1990, college: Talladega) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Swingman Eddie Ishman (197-1986, college: Miles) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and forward Terrence Johnson (203, college: Caldwell Tech) added 10 points and 4 blocks respectively for Suns in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defenders maintains fourth place with 2-2 record. Suns at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost.
