The game between third rankedDefenders (4-2) and 5th ranked Dream Ballers (2-5) in Belize City on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Defenders outscored guests from Dangriga 90-50 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dream Ballers. Defenders dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Dream Ballers ' 24. Defenders forced 20 Dream Ballers turnovers. It was a quality performance for American Nigel Jones (201-1990, college: Talladega) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Ajang Aguek (201-2000, college: Lander) accounted for 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American Deshawn Brackett (178-2001) came up with 15 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Jihad Wright (193-1993, college: UNCP) added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Dream Ballers in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defenders have a solid series of four victories in a row. Despite that victory Defenders went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Dream Ballers keep the fifth place with five games lost.
