Round 8 most important game was a defeat of league's leaderTiger Sharks (5-2). They were defeated by fourth ranked Western Ballaz (5-1) 93-78 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Western Ballers forced 19 Tiger Sharks turnovers. Strangely Tiger Sharks outrebounded Western Ballers 38-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Mark Gordon (196, college: Keiser) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and the former international Glency Lopez (180-1997, college: Midland CC) who added 28 points, 7 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Western Ballaz's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Devin Moody (193-2006) responded with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Keon Rowland scored 15 points. Five Tiger Sharks players scored in double figures. Western Ballaz have a solid three-game winning streak. Western Ballers keep a position of league leader. Defending champion Tiger Sharks dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Defenders and Running Rebels. They were replaced at the leadership position by Western Ballers.
