LeadingWestern Ballaz (6-2) recorded its second loss in San Ignacio. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Running Rebels (6-2) 79-64 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Western Ballaz. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Running Rebels outrebounded Western Ballers 55-38 including 18 on the offensive glass. Western Ballers were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Francis Arana (180-1997) scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard William Jr Stanford (190-1998, college: Mobile, AL, agency: Fully Feared Sports) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Running Rebels players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international Glency Lopez (180-1997, college: Midland CC) responded with 23 points and 4 assists and American swingman Mark Gordon (196, college: Keiser) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Running Rebels moved-up to second place, which they share with Western Ballers.
