BEBL top team -Defenders (10-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Dream Ballers (6-6) in Dangriga 90-66 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Dream Ballers. Defenders players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American Nigel Jones (201-1990, college: Talladega) notched 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Bobby Williams (, college: Contra Costa) supported him with 21 points and 6 assists. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Defenders players scored in double figures. Defenders' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by forward Kevon Laurie did not help to save the game for Dream Ballers . Forward Arik Nicholas (196, college: ACU) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks for the hosts. Defenders have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-2 record.
