Regular Season Round 3: Pichincha - CAN Potosi 56-71

Date: May 26, 2025
The most interesting game of round 3 was a home defeat of Pichincha (2-2) by CAN Potosi (3-1) who outscored them by 15 points 71-56. CAN Potosi dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Pichincha's 20. They outrebounded Pichincha 46-24 including a 38-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Carlos Gonzales (-2002) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward Cristhian Camargo (194-1992) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five CAN Potosi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian power forward Milos Petkovic (204-1991) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Andres Trujillo (184-1999) scored 14 points. CAN Potosi will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pichincha will play against Kinwa (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
