The biggest surprise of round 20 in NBB was guestSesi/Franca 's (10-6) easy road victory over 7th ranked Vasco da Gama (9-7) 88-69 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Georginho de Paula (197-1996) who scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international Wesley Ferreira (201-1995) chipped in 20 points. Four Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. Guard Matheus Eugeniusz (193-2000) produced 17 points and American point guard Jamaal Smith (184-1985, college: N.Mexico) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sesi/Franca have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Vasco da Gama dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with U.Corinthians.
