Regular Season Round 2: Flamengo - Cearense 102-73

The biggest surprise of round 2 in NBB took place in Rio de Janeiro where hostFlamengo crushed Fortaleza 102-73 on Thursday evening. Flamengo forced 20 Cearense turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Alexey Borges (185-1995) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Bulgarian-American point guard Dee Bost (189-1989, college: MSU) chipped in 22 points and 4 steals. Four Flamengo players scored in double figures. American point guard Michael Dupree (185-1995, college: Northwest) produced 16 points and 6 assists and forward Bernardo Da Silva (206-2000, college: Hawaii) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
