Very expected game when 10th rankedUNIFACISA (3-3) was smashed by fifth ranked Corinthians (5-2) in Paraiba 105-75 on Saturday. Corinthians shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Elyjah Clark (191-1998, college: MSSU) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 6 assists. The former international point guard Elio Corazza (195-1989, college: Miami Dade CC) accounted for 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Five Corinthians players scored in double figures. Corinthians' coach Jece Leite felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Venezuelan guard Yohanner Sifontes (192-1995) came up with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international Antonio Ferreira (200-1994) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for UniFacisa in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Corinthians . They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser UNIFACISA keeps the tenth position with three games lost. They share it with Sao Jose and Caxias do Sul.
