The best player for the winners was Argentinian-Italian point guard Facundo Corvalan (190-1998) who scored 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Rafael Paulichi chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. The former international guard Adyel Borges (190-2002) produced 16 points and 9 assists and American guard Malcolm Miller (201-1991, college: Southern) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brasilia have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 8-2 record having just three points less than leader Flamengo. Botafogo lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Cruzeiro. Brasilia will meet bottom-ranked Vasco (#20) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Botafogo will have a break next round.
