We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth rankedU.Corinthians (12-10) defeated 11th ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (12-12) in Santa Cruz do Sul 103-99 on Wednesday. U.Corinthians made 30-of-37 free shots (81.1 percent) during the game. U.Corinthians outrebounded Bauru 42-27 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American power forward Devon Scott (205-1994, college: Dayton) who scored that evening 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard Nate Barnes (181-1990, college: ABU) supported him with 28 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Even 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists by American point guard Dontrell Brite (175-1994, college: Mount Olive) did not help to save the game for Bauru . The former international guard Alex Garcia (191-1980, agency: Interperformances) added 19 points and 6 assists for lost side. Five U.Corinthians and four Bauru players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. U.Corinthians have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Mogi. Loser Paschoalotto/Bauru dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost.
