There was no surprise in Rio de Janeiro where 20th rankedVasco (4-23) was crushed by tenth ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (15-12) 90-70 on Monday. Bauru forced 21 Vasco turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American point guard Dontrell Brite (175-1994, college: Mount Olive) stepped up and scored 23 points and 4 steals for the winners and the former international guard Alex Garcia (191-1980, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 9 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Luiz Basilio (192-1991) with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Pedro Nunes (199-2000) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds.
