There was an upset in Paraiba where higher rankedBrasilia (22-9) was defeated by twelfth ranked UNIFACISA (16-14) 64-59 on Saturday. Strangely Brasilia outrebounded UniFacisa 43-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Venezuelan guard Yohanner Sifontes (192-1995) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 6 rebounds. Victor Leal (202-1996) helped adding 9 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Brunao Cardoso (197-2002) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and Rafael Paulichi (202-1998) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. UniFacisa moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with U.Corinthians. Loser Brasilia dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost.
