Regular Season Round 4: Colo Colo - Puente Alto 81-75

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss ofPuente Alto (4-1) in Santiago on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Colo Colo (3-2) 81-75 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Puente Alto. Colo Colo made 23-of-25 free shots (92.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Dennis McKinney (194-1998, college: Mt.Mercy) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her thirteen free throws !!!). The other American import power forward Domont'a Wright (202-1999, college: Cleveland St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Forward Renato Munoz (-2003) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican forward Jonathan Ocasio (196-1992, college: New Haven) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Puente Alto. Four Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains third position with 3-2 record having just two points less than leader Puente Alto. Puente Alto at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with Los Leones.
