A very close game took place in Valdivia betweenPuerto Varas and Valdivia . Sixth ranked Puerto Varas (6-4) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked Valdivia (2-8). Puerto Varas managed to escape with a 3-point win 66-63 on Sunday evening. Puerto Varas outrebounded Valdivia 35-22 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Andrew Corum (201-1997, college: Virginia St.) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Joshua Morris (203-1993, college: UTPB) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Puerto Varas' coach Damian Gamarra used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Erik Carrasco (181-1983) who recorded 21 points and 4 assists and Argentinian point guard Enzo Amado (183-1995) added 22 points respectively. Puerto Varas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Colo Colo. Valdivia lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Las Animas.
