Rather expected game when 10th rankedLas Animas (2-8) were crushed on the road by eighth ranked Ancud (5-5) 72-52 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American forward Derrick Woods (203-1996, college: St.Peter's, agency: SLN) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. The former international Alejandro Vergara (196-1995) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Rashad Hassan (203-1989, college: SSU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Shawn Foxbrennen (201-1996, college: FVSU) added 17 points respectively. Las Animas' coach Carlos Zuniga rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Ancud maintains eighth place with 5-5 record. Loser Las Animas keep the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Valdivia.
