Regular Season Round 11: Valdivia - Ancud 52-62

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Ancud (6-6) beat on the road 11th ranked Valdivia (2-10) 62-52 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for Colombian Alvaro Pena (197-1995, agency: Starting 5) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Derrick Woods (203-1996, college: St.Peter's, agency: SLN) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. American center Dishon Lowery (200-1998, college: OKBU) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Erik Carrasco (181-1983) added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Valdivia in the defeat. Ancud maintains eighth place with 6-6 record. Valdivia lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with ten games lost. Ancud will meet at home higher ranked Puerto Varas (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Valdivia will play against Espanol (#4) and hope to secure a win.
