Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Valdivia:Las Animas (#10) and Valdivia (#11). Valdivia was defeated at home 65-70 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Valdivia was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Forward Alphonso Anderson (198-1997, college: Pacific) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (made all of his sixteen free throws !!!) for the winners and power forward Rashad Hassan (203-1989, college: SSU) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Las Animas' coach Carlos Zuniga allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side AJ Cheeseman (202-1998, college: UMES) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and center Dishon Lowery (200-1998, college: OKBU) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Valdivia players scored in double figures. Las Animas maintains tenth place with 4-10 record. Valdivia lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost.
