Regular Season Round 17: Los Leones - Ancud 85-64

LeaderLos Leones delivered the fifteenth win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Ancud (8-10) 85-64 in Quilpue. 24 personal fouls committed by Ancud helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Jerry Evans (203-1990, college: Nevada) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Darrol Jones (193-1994) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Los Leones' coach Jose Angel Samaniego felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Devin Evans (206-2001, college: USC Aiken, agency: Haylett Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Richard Granberry (203-1993, college: Virginia St.) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Los Leones (15-1) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Ancud at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Puente Alto.
