Seventh-rankedColo Colo (9-12) was very close to win a game against first ranked Los Leones (19-2) in Quilpue on Thursday. Los Leones managed to secure only two-point victory 81-79 . However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for the former international forward Darrol Jones (193-1994) who led his team to a victory with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Jerry Evans (203-1990, college: Nevada) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Los Leones players scored in double figures. American swingman Dennis McKinney (194-1998, college: Mt.Mercy) answered with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Diego Valenzuela (185-1994) added 22 points in the effort for Colo Colo. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Los Leones have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-2 record. Colo Colo at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost.
