The game between closely ranked teams ended with second rankedPuente Alto 's (5-1) road victory over one of their biggest challengers Los Leones (3-3) 88-80 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Fernanda Ovalle (178-2003, college: Xavier) who scored 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. American guard Kwanza Murray (170-1996, college: Lincoln, PA) chipped in 27 points. Four Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Puente Alto's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Akilah Bethel (183-1993, college: LSU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Keiunna Walker (168-2000, college: La Tech) added 26 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Puente Alto have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 5-1 record behind leader Univ.Concepcion. Loser Los Leones keep the third place with three games lost.
