Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Santiago:Puente Alto (#3) and Brisas (#6). Puente Alto (2-1) crushed visiting Brisas (0-4) by 68 points 109-41 . Puente Alto dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Brisas ' 24. Puente Alto forced 34 Brisas turnovers and outrebounded them 54-27 including a 21-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Puente Alto players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Brisas ' players. It was a good game for Colombian guard Manuela Rios (163-1997) who led her team to a victory with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. The former international point guard Damaris Alarcon (167-2003) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Five Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Maria Mancilla (-2007) answered with 16 points and Maite Concha (-2007) added 8 points and 4 assists in the effort for Brisas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
