There was no surprise when bottom-rankedBoston College (0-5) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Puente Alto (2-3) 70-55 on Thursday. Puente Alto forced 22 Boston College turnovers. American Rakim Brown (198-1991, college: Humboldt St.) stepped up and scored 28 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import center Jonnivius Smith (206-2001, college: UTSA) chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds. American forward TJ Robinson (203-1989, college: LBSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and Lucas Marquez (196-2003) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Puente Alto maintains fourth place with 2-3 record, which they share with Puerto Varas and Espanol. Newly promoted Boston College still closes the standings with five games lost.
