There was a minor upset when second-bestUniv.Catolica (6-4) lost to fourth ranked Puente Alto (4-5) in Santiago 68-75 on Friday. American center Jonnivius Smith (206-2001, college: UTSA) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 21 rebounds for the winning side and accounted for 19 points and 5 assists. American forward Tristan Harper (198-2000, college: Langston) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Uruguayan guard Diego Garcia (186-1992) added 9 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Univ.Catolica in the defeat. Univ.Catolica's coach Bernardo Marphy let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Puente Alto maintains fourth place with 4-5 record, which they share with Las Animas. Loser Univ.Catolica keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Espanol.
