Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Santiago:Puente Alto (#2) and Brisas (#6). Brisas were smashed at home by 59 points 33-92 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Puente Alto held Brisas to an opponent 23.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Puente Alto forced 25 Brisas turnovers and outrebounded them 68-26 including a 27-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Puente Alto players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Brisas ' players. The winners were led by Emilia Oliva who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Catalina Ramirez supported her with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Even 4 points and 9 rebounds by Italian-Argentinian Daniela Dublo (184-1988) did not help to save the game for Brisas . Marjorie Carreno added 6 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Puente Alto (7-1) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sportiva Ita. Brisas at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost.
