Puente Alto used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Las Condes 100-68 on Wednesday night. Puente Alto forced 30 Azul y Rojo turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Colombian forward Mabel Martinez (180-1986) notched 22 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals to lead the effort and American-Puerto Rican guard Janessa Gonzalez (170-2002, college: FPU) supported her with 17 points and 4 assists. Five Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by the former international point guard Javiera Novion (170-1987, college: Eckerd) did not help to save the game for Azul y Rojo . The former international center Tatiana Gomez (192-1981) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
