There was a small surprise when seventh rankedAncud (2-8) rolled over at home 4th ranked Puerto Varas (6-5) 101-78 on Saturday. Ancud outrebounded Puerto Varas 37-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Ancud looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international point guard Franco Ordenes (181-1992) notched 30 points and 8 assists to lead the effort and American swingman Austin Wrighten (192-1996, college: Lynchburg) supported him with 25 points and 6 rebounds. Wrighten is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Ancud players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 7 assists by American guard Bakir Cleveland (196, college: Lincoln, PA) did not help to save the game for Puerto Varas . American-Puerto Rican forward Jonathan Ocasio (196-1992, college: New Haven) added 17 points for lost side. Puerto Varas' coach Damian Gamarra gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Ancud moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Univ.Catolica and Castro. Loser Puerto Varas keep the fourth position with five games lost.
