There was a small surprise when fourth rankedAlemana (0-2) outplayed at home second-ranked Constitucion (3-2) 87-64 on Sunday. American forward Kaleb Vaughn (198-1996, college: Lake Erie) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Argentinian guard Valentino Ayala (190-2005) accounted for 20 points. The former international center Carlos Aranda (200-1992) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and Daniel Villegas (-1992) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Constitucion in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Alemana went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Constitucion keeps the second place with two games lost. They share the position with 6 other teams.
