The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-rankedLas Animas (10-3) on the court of third ranked Valdivia on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Valdivia 97-83 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Las Animas. Valdivia dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Las Animas ' 34. Valdivia looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Las Animas ' players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Carlos Lauler (190-1996) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and American power forward Zondrick Garrett (203-2002, college: UWF, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) who added 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Ahmir Langlais (206-2001, college: Tennessee St.) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Raekwon Horton (198-2002, college: UTSA) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Valdivia and five Las Animas players scored in double figures. Valdivia maintains third position with 7-5 record having five points less than leader Las Animas. Las Animas at the other side still keep top place with three games lost.
