Regular Season Round 7: The Sharks - Quilpue 73-68

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Quilpue (3-4) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked The Sharks (1-6) 73-68 on Sunday. The Sharks forced 23 Quilpue turnovers. It was a great evening for Lian Castro (-2001) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. Randiely Arias (-1998) helped adding 9 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Ismael Hilaire (-2004) responded with 16 points and 5 assists and Maximiliano Lopez (-2003) scored 15 points. Four Quilpue players scored in double figures. The Sharks maintains sixth place with 1-6 record, which they share with Arturo Prat. Loser Quilpue dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. The Sharks will meet at home league's leader Sportiva Italiana in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Quilpue will play against Arabe de Valp. in Valparaiso and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
