Regular Season Round 6: Motilones - Caimanes 98-89

Caimanes (5-1) recorded its first loss in Cucuta on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Motilones (3-5) 98-89 . Motilones looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American Rashon Johnson (197-1999, college: Shippensburg) who scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. The other American import center Sal Nuhu (203-1995, college: Portland St.) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian guard Alejo Britos (187-1994) who recorded 23 points and the former international point guard Octavio Munoz (179-2001) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Five Motilones and four Caimanes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Motilones went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with Carrib.Storm. Newly promoted Caimanes still keep top place with one game lost.
