Third-rankedToros (7-7) gave a tough game to first ranked Caimanes (12-4) in Cali. The visitors from Villavicencio managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69 . However their fans expected easier game. The winners were led by the former international point guard Octavio Munoz (179-2001) who scored that evening 13 points and 9 rebounds and Argentinian guard Alejo Britos (187-1994) supported him with 16 points. Four Caimanes players scored in double figures. Even 9 points and 17 rebounds by Brazilian center Dikembe Andre (206-1999) did not help to save the game for Toros Del Valle . American power forward Eden Ewing (204-1997, college: Texas Southern) added 10 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Caimanes have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Caimanes maintains first position with 12-4 record. Toros Del Valle at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost.
