Top rankedPaisas (11-4) recorded its fourth loss in Cucuta on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Motilones (9-7) 82-70 . It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Motilones outrebounded Paisas 44-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Motilones especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was Dominican Bernardo Polanco (189-1994) who scored 22 points and 4 assists. American center Sal Nuhu (203-1995, college: Portland St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Motilones' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Brandon Weatherspoon (193, college: FAU) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and international Alvaro Pena (197-1995, agency: Starting 5) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains second place with 9-7 record having just one point less than leader Caimanes. Paisas at the other side still keep top position with four games lost.
