There was no surprise in Quibdo-Choco where 7th rankedCimarrones (1-7) were crushed by fourth ranked Caimanes (3-3) 79-46 on Thursday. Caimanes dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Cimarrones ' 20. They outrebounded Cimarrones 41-27 including 32 on the defensive glass. American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 assists for the winners and the former international power forward Sebastian Valencia (200-1997) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Caimanes' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dominican Bernardo Polanco (189-1994) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Dominican swingman Juan De Los Santos (193-2002) scored 17 points. Caimanes have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Sabios and Paisas. Cimarrones lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost.
