Regular Season Round 4: Motilones - Piratas 67-82

There was a minor upset in Cucuta where their close opponentMotilones (2-4) were defeated by seventh ranked Piratas (3-1) 82-67 on Friday. Piratas shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Panamanian point guard Bryan Anderson (185-2001) fired 24 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Panamanian forward Aaron Gedeon (203-1999, college: Southwest) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four Piratas players scored in double figures. Piratas' coach Jose Tapias used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Soren De Luque (200-1998) produced 16 points and Panamanian Josimar Ayarza (205-1987, college: Southern Miss) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Piratas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Motilones lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost.
