Very important is a road loss of third rankedPiratas (3-3) against sixth ranked Cimarrones (3-3) on Thursday night. Visiting Piratas were defeated by Cimarrones in Quibdo-Choco 83-72 . Cimarrones looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Piratas ' players. American point guard TyLik Evans (173-1996, college: USC Aiken) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 assists for the winners and the former international point guard Mateo Arboleda (190-1999) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. point guard David Soler (181-1998) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Panamanian point guard Bryan Anderson (185-2001) scored 16 points. Piratas' coach Jose Tapias let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cimarrones moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Piratas and Sabios.
