No shocking result in a game when third rankedPiratas (7-3) beat 6th ranked Sabios (3-6) in Bogota 85-71 on Sunday. The winners were led by Panamanian Justin Quintero (193-1998) who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists and Panamanian forward Aaron Gedeon (203-1999, college: Southwest) supported him with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Piratas players scored in double figures. Even 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by Jonathan Salazar (-2001) did not help to save the game for Sabios . Dominican swingman Braynt De La Cruz (198-2002) added 14 points and 13 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piratas have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Sabios lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with six games lost.
