Very expected game when bottom-rankedStorm (0-10) was smashed by fourth ranked Cimarrones (6-3) in Quibdo-Choco 91-55 on Monday. Cimarrones forced 22 Carrib.Storm turnovers and outrebounded them 44-25 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American point guard TyLik Evans (173-1996, college: USC Aiken) who scored that evening 23 points and 4 assists and the former international center John Hernandez (207-1984) supported him with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Five Cimarrones players scored in double figures. Even 16 points by American-Puerto Rican guard Robert Nieves (186-1999, college: Graceland) did not help to save the game for Carrib.Storm . Oscar Goez (-2004) added 7 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Storm's coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Cimarrones have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Caimanes. Loser Storm still closes the standings with ten games lost.
