Regular Season Round 8: Piratas - Sabios 94-79
Date: April 27, 2026
Rather predictable result when third rankedPiratas (7-3) won against 6th ranked Sabios (3-6) in Bogota 94-79 on Monday. The winners were led by the former international power forward Santiago Serna (203-2001) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and point guard David Soler (181-1998) supported him with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Piratas players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds by Dominican swingman Braynt De La Cruz (198-2002) did not help to save the game for Sabios . Guard David Blanco (192-2001) added 23 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piratas have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Sabios lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with six games lost. Piratas will meet at home bottom-ranked Carrib.Storm (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Sabios will play against Cimarrones and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
