Regular Season Round 8: Toros - Motilones 86-56

LBP top team -Toros (8-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Motilones (2-7) in Cali 86-56 . Toros dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Motilones ' 24. They outrebounded Motilones 44-30 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Toros players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Motilones ' players. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Emmanuel Payton-Clottey (183-1997, college: FSU) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Saquan Singleton (198-1998, college: GMU) who added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Payton-Clottey is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Toros players scored in double figures. Panamanian Josimar Ayarza (205-1987, college: Southern Miss) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the former international Soren De Luque (200-1998) scored 20 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toros maintains first position with 8-1 record. Motilones lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with seven games lost.
