Regular Season Round 8: Caimanes - Paisas 90-80

An interesting game forCaimanes (6-3) which hosted in Villavicencio one of their biggest challengers Paisas (5-4). Second ranked Caimanes managed to get a 10-point victory 90-80 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Paisas. The former international point guard Octavio Munoz (179-2001) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 5 assists. American power forward Rashad Hassan (203-1989, college: SSU) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Davion Bailey (193, college: UIW) replied with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman Marcus Weathers (199-1997, college: SMU) added 21 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Paisas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Paisas' coach Luis Lopera rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Caimanes went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with Cimarrones. Defending champion Paisas dropped to the fifth place with four games lost.
