Regular Season Round 9: Sabios - Cimarrones 60-51

There was a minor upset in Manizales where 4th placedCimarrones (6-4) were defeated by sixth ranked Sabios (4-6) 60-51 on Saturday. Dominican swingman Braynt De La Cruz (198-2002) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and American forward Anthony Duncan II (201-2000, college: Southeastern) chipped in 10 points and 15 rebounds. Duncan II is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Sabios players scored in double figures. Sabios' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American point guard TyLik Evans (173-1996, college: USC Aiken) with 13 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center John Hernandez (207-1984) scored 5 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. Sabios maintains sixth place with 4-6 record. Loser Cimarrones keep the fourth position with four games lost.
