Rather expected game in Manizales where 6th rankedSabios (5-7) were defeated by third ranked Caimanes (7-5) 92-82 on Wednesday. Caimanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Sabios ' players. The best player for the winners was American center Myles Carter (206-1997, college: Seattle) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. The former international power forward Sebastian Valencia (200-1997) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Caimanes players scored in double figures. Dominican swingman Braynt De La Cruz (198-2002) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 20 rebounds and Jonathan Salazar (-2001) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Caimanes maintains third place with 7-5 record having just three points less than leader Toros, which they share with Cimarrones and Paisas. Loser Sabios keep the sixth position with seven games lost.
