Regular Season Round 11: Sabios - Caimanes 100-87

The game between third rankedCaimanes (7-5) and sixth ranked Sabios Caimanes were defeated by Sabios in Manizales 100-87 . Sabios made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Sabios outrebounded Caimanes 36-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. Sabios looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Jonathan Salazar (-2001) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Naturalized Venezuelan Jackson Zapata (198-1985) helped adding 25 points and 5 assists. The former international power forward Sebastian Valencia (200-1997) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and American center Myles Carter (206-1997, college: Seattle) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Sabios and five Caimanes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sabios maintains sixth place with 5-7 record. Caimanes at the other side keep the third position with five games lost. They share it with Cimarrones and Paisas.
